As an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor (EFIT, EFCT, EFFT), I have completed additional EFT courses including AIRM, Sex as a Safe Adventure, Blocks as Opportunities, Highly Escalated Couples, and Intimate Partner Violence. I also have a Certificate in Applied Mindfulness Meditation from the University of Toronto. I have completed the MBSR program as a participant, and additional workshops in self compassion, infidelity, trauma, Level 1 AEDP, EFT Level 1 (Les Greenberg), EFT-G, etc. I offer my experience from an integrated and experiential perspective.

Learn how to ethically and effectively provide concurrent services to the same client, or switch from individual to couple or family therapy with the same client.
Even if you only work with individuals, you will learn about systems, and when some clinicians may choose to provide multiple services. This may also help you if your client is working concurrently with another therapist.
We will learn how to determine how the client’s goals can assist us in deciding what format (individual, couple or family) to use and when. We will also learn what a “visitor session” is and how it can be another alternative to support your individual therapy (using EFIT specifically).
Logistical concerns will be addressed, including boundaries, confidentiality, informed consent, documentation, and record keeping.
This workshop assumes participants have an openness to, or understanding of, systems thinking, even if they only work with individual clients.
Emotionally Focused Therapy will be referred to as the therapeutic modality being utilized and will NOT be taught in depth. Clinicians without previous EFT training are welcome to attend; however, familiarity with EFT will enhance the participant’s experience.
